• For our Welcome Party we are requesting “Garden Cocktail” attire. It will take place outside at Folktale Winery’s Rose Garden/Greenhouse.

    For our Ceremony/Reception we are requesting Black Tie (with some funk!) It will take place outside at Loma Vista Gardens on the forest’s edge.

    There will be some uneven services so wear footwear that you feel most comfortable in. In case of cooler temps heat lamps and blankets will be provided.

    We want everyone to feel and look their best. We also want you to dress the f*ck up!

  • This will be an adults only event!

  • We suggest you stay in Carmel-by-the-Sea as the town is easily walkable to plenty of shops, restaurants, and sites. We will be providing a list of our favorite spots and activities closer to the wedding.

  • Event Transportation

    Welcome Party, Ceremony, and Reception

    We are providing shuttles for our Welcome Party and all day of Wedding events. Pickup location and time TBD. We anticipate travel times for each event to be:

    • 15 minutes to Carmel Valley

    • 45 minutes to Big Sur

    After Party

    Shuttles will drop off directly at Barmel where we will continue the festivities with some late night snacks, drinks, and more dancing! This location is walking distance from most hotels in Carmel-by-the-Sea. If you are staying further away, Ubers are recommended.

    Farewell Brunch

    Come have a hair of the dog with us and some small bites before leaving. We plan to arrive at noon. It should be about a 15-20 minute drive or Uber from Carmel-by-the-Sea. There is also a local shuttle that goes between Carmel-by-the-Sea and Carmel Valley.

    Exploring The Area

    Carmel-by-the-Sea is very pedestrian friendly. All major attractions in and around the town can be explored on foot or via a short Uber ride.

    Neighboring areas (Pacific Grove, Monterey and Carmel Valley) are easily accessible by Uber, but options can become sparse later in the evening. We recommend planning accordingly or renting a car.

    If you plan to explore Big Sur, service is extremely limited and Ubers can be unreliable. We recommend renting a car if this is something you’re interested in.

  • Weather in the area is generally temperate this time of year, but can vary greatly within microclimates. Carmel-by-the-Sea is typically cloudier and 5-10 degrees colder than many of the surrounding areas.. But don’t let the “June Gloom” fool you! Dressing in layers and bringing a pair of sunglasses is recommended.
